Text Box: Commanders’ Weather provides a weather summary along with temperature and wind forecasts at various levels on the mountain for our ski areas. Our service also includes discussions with our meteorologists when further information is necessary. Forecasts are sent at 6AM each morning with an update at 2PM every afternoon. We supply site specific forecasts for 5 of New England's ski areas:

Text Box: Commanders’ Weather Corporation’s hurricane forecasters have over 80 years of hurricane and marine forecasting experience for the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean. We provide hurricane forecasts to tens of marinas, several yacht owners and captains allowing them to safely move their yachts to a hurricane hole or other secure locations. Our hurricane forecasts include:

1) Daily tropical outlook which will contain a graphical depiction of the tropical North Atlantic Ocean west of 45W. The accompanying text will focus on potential trouble spots in the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. This product will be available daily by 0830edt and 1800edt.

2) Tropical depression, storm, and hurricane track maps for the western North Atlantic, from 10 to 50 north latitude and 45 to 100 west longitude. The track maps will be produced as soon as a tropical depression or storm forms. Concise text forecasts available by 0830EDT and 1800 EDT will detail how the tropical cyclone may impact the region.

3) Track maps and wind maps focusing on affected areas will be produced when relevant. These maps will be available to the affected areas by 0830edt, 1230edt, and 1800edt, depending on the severity of the system.

4) As part of the service, our meteorologists are also available for verbal consultations. This information is available daily during the hurricane season, June 1 through November 30.

Text Box: Commanders’ Weather offers GFS model grib files:

1) 14-day, 2.5 degree grid, 12 hour forecast period 2) 7 day, 1 degree grid, 3-6 hour forecast period 3) 7 day, 1/2 degree grid, 3-6 hour forecast period for any area of the world, which will be trimmed for the specific size
and region needed. These grib files are used in various types of routing software.
